What is a screencast?

Screencasts are video tutorials of an expert's computer screen accompanied by voice audio explaining a tool. It's just like watching over the sholder of an expert, except you can pause, rewind, and fast forward!

Is there any DRM in your screencasts?

No, all our videos are DRM free. Please help keep it that way by not uploading videos to file sharing sites.

Which formats do you support?

All screencasts are available in high quality (1000x600 resolution) Quicktime, Ogg Theora, and (640x384) iPhone/iPod.

Can I redownload a purchased screencast?

Of course! Just log in and click purchases to see a list of all your orders. A link to redownload the video in multiple formats will be there.

Are you affiliated with FOSSCasts?

Yes. I (John) put out a free weekly screencast called FOSSCasts. I enjoyed putting together screencasts very much and wanted to find a way to help finance the work, hosting, and other expenses that came with it. Thus, Technicasts was born.
